Calagrana farmhouse

Agriturismo Calagrana is located 350m above sea level, on the hill of the Niccone Valley and 6 km from the border with Tuscany. The location is ideal: quiet and peaceful, but only 40 minutes or an hour from some of the most beautiful places in Umbria such as Gubbio, Cortona, Assisi, Perugia, Montefalco and many others.

Calagrana is run by Ely, Alberto and their two children Sophia and Oliver. It boasts a farm of 16 sheep; quaint and rustic accommodation, and a truly phenomenal restaurant. The property consists of two XNUMXth century stone buildings, once a working farm. The main building was once a farmhouse, with the livestock living below, and the family above. It has now been converted into five large double bedrooms, and two mini apartments, each with its own entrance. We hope our guests enjoy a truly rustic experience, so the accommodation does not have WiFi or a TV. However, we understand that technology dominates our world, so WiFi is available on the main terrace.

The second building is now an intimate restaurant with two terraces open in the summer, so you can dine with a beautiful view of the valley and the pool. What was once a shed for tractors and other machinery has been restored to the highest standard, with the choice being to retain its charm by saving the original stone, which is exposed throughout the restaurant.
Calagrana boasts a saltwater pool which is more environmentally friendly and kind to the skin. This is in keeping with our organic status. Alberto, the chef, sources fresh produce from local farmers, while the lamb and pork are homegrown.

All accommodations have check-in at 16pm and check-out at 10am.

Calagrana is surrounded by five hectares of lush forest and a green and flourishing valley. The structure itself is full of colorful and beautiful flowers: pots can be seen everywhere because Ely is a passionate gardener.
