The proposed accommodation is in apartments for 2 to 4 people in a prestigious historic building in the center of Cagli. Exclusive use of the garden of the structure, fenced and closed on 4 sides. Those who book the apartment can therefore request exclusive use of the garden for their family.
Cagli is a charming little town in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, halfway between Gubbio (Umbria) and Urbino. A rich program of events, including festivals, outdoor music, and evening shows in the town squares, allows for a totally relaxing holiday, just steps from the apartments. In Cagli, in all seasons, you can visit the Torrione, the fortress that symbolizes the city, and the tunnel dug in the 15th century that allowed soldiers to move to the other fortress on the Cappuccini hill, which was destroyed during the Spanish invasion. The defensive system, of which much of the city walls remain, was completed and strengthened during the reign of Federico da Montefeltro, who considered Cagli the heart of the duchy.
In the natural parks and on the Apennine mountains around Cagli you can take advantage of the network of paths, to go and discover the mountain and hill territory enjoying spectacular views. What better occasion?

In the structure there are no common areas with other guests (no reception, no leisure room, no dining room). Meals are prepared in the kitchen of the apartment - you can also take advantage of the nearby restaurants and pizzerias to buy food with the take-away service - and are consumed in your own dining room or in the garden. Each apartment is entered directly from the public street, without entrances or stairs to share.
Cagli is ideal for excursions, being in the middle of three protected areas or natural parks. In the Gola del Furlo Nature Reserve (10 km from Cagli), you can go on many excursions, accessible to all and very suitable for families. You can observe the golden eagle that nests and circles in the Gorge, walk in the archaeological area where there are two Roman tunnels along the Via Flaminia, walk on the panoramic paths; you can also visit the museum of the reserve with its collection of stuffed animals (wolves, eagles, deer, etc.) with free entry. On the border with Umbria you can go walking in the Bosco di Tecchie reserve, full of small streams and very shaded. Also very beautiful is the Monte Cucco Nature Park (20 km from Cagli), where in an uncontaminated mountain territory, among free-roaming horses and streams that flow between the rocks, you can also take an unforgettable tour among ancient abbeys and art treasures.
But people also come to Cagli for the food. Cagli, with its woods, is a gathering area for black and white truffles, so in summer you can enjoy dishes featuring the very affordable black summer truffle. The authentic, home-cooked cuisine of the Marche region, the Marche of small mountain and hillside villages, in a friendly, unrestrained atmosphere, draws visitors seeking tranquility and the flavors of times gone by.
Along the old Via Flaminia, used for vehicle traffic until a few years ago and now replaced by the nearby highway, it is possible to cycle for kilometres on flat land without being disturbed by cars, even pedalling on some bridges built by the Romans and enjoying a beautiful landscape at the foot of the Apennines between Marche and Umbria.
From June through September, you can consider a vacation in Cagli simply to swim in the river, with over 10 km of clear water just steps from your door: the Bosso River is a characteristic and enjoyable mountain stream with clean water and picturesque beaches carved into the rock. There are many small waterfalls where you can cool off while enjoying a pristine environment. The nearest place where you can take your dog is about 600 meters from the vacation home. Other rocky inlets and small ravines are easy to reach in the upstream area, and the walk along the road that runs above the river is very beautiful and relaxing.
Cagli isn't the ideal destination for those seeking the seaside, which is 50 km away. The closest beaches are in Fano, about 50 km away, and Pesaro, about 60 km away, both reachable by car in less than an hour on the highway. So it's easy to make a few daily trips to the beach, for those who want, alternating the sea with excursions into art and nature.
