- 2 nights in an apartment: €170. Children up to 8 years old stay free. For each child 9 years old and older or each additional adult, an additional €10 per night is charged. Pets are welcome and there is no additional charge.
This offer includes a stay in fully equipped apartments, with one or two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, in a prestigious historic building in the town of Cagli, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. The price is all-inclusive, including sheets and towels, water, gas for cooking, electricity, heating, TV use, garden use, and final cleaning.
Use of the large, fenced garden, closed on all four sides, is included in the price. Please request this when booking.
Cagli is a charming town in northern Marche, halfway between Gubbio (Umbria) and Urbino. A small city waiting to be discovered, wonderfully rich in history and art treasures, ideal for families looking for a relaxing getaway. You can visit the Renaissance tower, the symbol of the city, with the tunnel leading to the fortress on the Cappuccini hill. It was destroyed in the early 16th century during the Spanish invasion, and features a charming historical route outside, recently restored.
The apartments' location, just steps from Cagli's main square and the roads leading to the countryside, allows you to experience and explore the town on foot, for complete relaxation and to savor the atmosphere and authenticity of the Marche region. Easy hikes depart from the house along the road that runs along the river or toward the mountains surrounding the city.
The town of Cagli offers an interesting program of Christmas events from December 7th to January 6th, ideal for kids, teens, and adults. Events featuring traditional Christmas cuisine, guided hikes on mountain trails, markets, theater concerts, and free-entry shows are available. In Cagli's historic center, you can experience the city on foot and visit the nativity scenes in the medieval churches.
Near Cagli. Starting December 7th, Gubbio hosts the world's largest Christmas tree, with lights stretching from the city up the mountain. In Urbino, you can tour the city by following the nativity scene trail through historic churches filled with artistic masterpieces. In Candelara, you can attend the great Candele a Candelara festival (Christmas markets, street performers, concerts).
There are no shared spaces within the building (no reception, recreation room, or dining room). Meals are prepared in the apartment's kitchen—you can also take advantage of nearby restaurants and pizzerias, within walking distance, for takeout—and are eaten in the apartment or in the garden. Each apartment is accessed directly from the public street, with no shared entrances or stairs.
Natural parks worth visiting include the Furlo Gorge Nature Reserve (10 km from Cagli), where you can enjoy a variety of excursions, accessible to all and particularly suitable for families. You can observe golden eagles nesting and circling in the Gorge, stroll through the archaeological area containing two Roman tunnels along the Via Flaminia, and take other walks along scenic trails. You can also visit the reserve's museum with its collection of stuffed animals (wolves, eagles, deer, etc.), which is free to enter. The Monte Cucco Nature Park (20 km from Cagli) is also very beautiful. In a pristine mountain setting, among free-roaming horses and streams flowing between the rocks, you can also take an unforgettable tour of ancient abbeys and art treasures.
